Publisher’s Blurb – Lower Cover
Inspired by the imaginative genius behind Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T., and Jurassic Park, here is an epic science fiction adventure too big for even Steven Spielberg to bring to the screen...

They said it could never happen. A mile-wide asteroid on a collision course with the earth threatens to cause mass destruction. There is only one solution: it must be nudged onto a stable orbit before it can do so. Veteran shuttle pilot Boston Low is called out of semi-retirement and with just two others, a scientist and a journalist, sets out to plant the explosives that might avert catastrophe.

But investigating the planet’s surface, they uncover a shaft which leads to the heart of the asteroid and within that heart, evidence of another civilisation. Before they can prevent it, they are thrown into another time and place: Cocytus, once home to an extraordinarily advanced lifeform. Now it is a haunted world and they must use all of their skills to understand the secret of this mysterious planet. Because solving the mystery of Cocytus is their only hope of getting home again...
