The Future History of Robert Heinlein: Volume I, a collection of Future History fiction by Robert A. Heinlein, was created specifically for the Virginia Edition.

First Version of Future History Chart can be found on page iii of this volume. It is a handwritten and typed manuscript page dating from August 1939 that RAH used as a working version of the chart.

The Future History Chart was subsequently published in three versions:

  • Astounding Science Fiction version (1941)
  • The Man Who Sold the Moon version (1950)
  • The Past Through Tomorrow version (1967)
